I was being charged with assault and battery after hitting a bouncer in a bar after he hit me and accused me of something I didn't do. The odds were stacked against me from the get-go. I was devastated. I didn't even talk to the cops, nor did I learn of my warrant until I was traveling home for Thanksgiving and was arrested. Before I retained Scott as my attorney, a family member recommended me to another attorney. I was told he was the best in business. He had a very polished resume and a reassuring website. Without thinking twice I hired him to get me out of a misunderstanding. I was under investigation for embezzlement, which I did not do. It took me 2 weeks to get in contact with this all-star criminal defense attorney. After I spoke to him he made some calls and charged me an enormous amount of money. Every minute I spoke to him, he charged me for. This attorney told me that the courts did not have enough evidence and it was not going anywhere. He closed my case and told me I’m all set. Well I trusted my well-paid attorney and forgot about it.

2 years later I received a felony arrest warrant in the mail for this exact issue. I freaked out. I am honest individual who has never been in any kind of trouble and just opened a felony arrest warrant. I called my old attorney to see what is going on. After 2 days of non-stop calling I finally got a hold of him. He did not remember my case, and did not have any records on file from 2-years prior. I was fed up with him and that is when I found Scott Grabel.

At the time I was not living in Michigan, and I could not afford to take time off and go to several court appearances. I had a full time job and a family. Scott took this into consideration. He got a felony case dismissed with 1 court appearance! He also had the courts destroy all arrest records and fingerprints.

Scott laid out play-by-play what was going to happen at all stage of my case. There were no surprises. Everything Scott told me happen just like he said. I cannot say enough on Scott’s behalf. I was pulled over for speeding and got a dui for being under the leagle limit with my daughters in the truck. At that time I received a child indangerment charge as well. Didn't know what to do or where to go so I called Scott Grabel to represent me. The Grabel law firm got the indangerment charge dropped the dui was reduced to a owi and i didnt go to jail. I received 6 months probation and restricted driving for 90 days thats it . Without the law firm it could have been much worse. Make Grable & Associates your choice .

I starting getting into trouble when I was 18 I picked up a MIP and hired Mr. Grabel he took the time to talk to me and he kept the charge off my record and me out of jail! I was in need of help badly! I was very selfish and was drinking and driving and by the time I had reached my 5th one, every attorney said I would do jail time. I called Mr. Grabel he spent over a hour on the phone with me trying not only to calm me down but find the reasons why I was drinking so much! I hired Mr. Grabel and I know he fought hard with the Judge in Ionia. Don't throw this young girl in jail, let's help her and that is what happened. I did not do 1 day in jail! I was placed on 1 year probation and a home alcohol device which called my house and I had to blow into a machine that was hooked to my phone. 2 weeks after being sentenced I found out I was pregnant! Scott Grabel basically saved my life with 2 felony DUI's by merchant238095 at Citysearch

I interviewed a dozen or so ‘DUI specialists’, and every other attorney I interviewed hastily concluded that I was facing prison, without even getting into my details and spending the time to actually score my record grid.

They spent most of their initial interview talking about how much they were going to charge me. Several attorneys gave me ten minutes of their time driving down the road and talking to me on their cell phone, then demanding for me to make the decision to hire them. The average interview was a hard sell, instead of an actual fact-finding meeting.

One attorney briefly looked over my case, and then assured me I absolutely would serve 12-18 months in prison. He spent the rest of the interview explaining how my first nine months of prison would go.

Scott Grabel completely floored me with his approach. He was very patient and listened to my complete story. Then he stepped back and made a detailed analysis of my situation. Scott was the only attorney that actually took the time to actually run my scoring grid.

Then he called me and said “you are NOT going to prison. I will GUARANTEE that.”

Then he sent his most knowledgeable investigator, Dan, to my house on two separate occasions, to go over the complete details of my case.

All of this was before I paid Scott one cent. His entire focus was on my case, not his fee, and I could feel that right from the start.

My action of driving drunk had absolutely no excuse. I was caught legally and the arrest was a good one.

I’ve suffered chronic pain and numerous health problems, and made the insane decision to self-medicate and drive a vehicle.

Stupid.

Scott treated me with total respect and with a most professional manner. Rather than condescending and trying to frighten me out of my wits, he quietly listened to the ‘whole’ story.

In the past, I have dealt with other attorneys that were very responsive until they got their retainer, and then seemed to lose interest in my case.

Scott is totally different. He is the most proactive and meticulous attorney I have ever met. I got calls in the morning, evening, weekends - from his office, his home, and while he was on the road. He even called me once while he was in a pet shop with his kids. He completely took charge of my situation and orchestrated a miraculous defense. He covered every base possible, and was on top of every element of my unfortunate dilemma.

First, Scott correctly concluded that I was facing up to a year in county jail. He took a lot of time to study my health situation, talked extensively to my doctors, and reviewed my medical records.

Then he began to create a unique defense, based on the fact that I have to sleep in a hospital bed due to my health condition. He informed the jail and the prosecutor of my special needs, which they were reluctantly unwilling to accommodate, due to liability concerns.

When I say Scott saved my life, instead of one year in county jail, he had the charge reduced to six months on an alcohol tether, with absolutely NO jail time at all. I’m free to live my life and work on getting it together, rather than flushing it down the drain in jail.

With all my heart, I am telling readers of this letter that every word is the truth, and I guarantee Scott will give you more effort than you ever expected. If you make the insane decision to drink and drive and get caught for it, you need the strongest defense you can get.

And that is Scott Grabel.
